I’ve been called to the healing modality for my whole life — it’s a part of my being. It’s been quite a process learning how to integrate this in healthy ways. For years, I was the one holding so much together — remembering birthdays, keeping the peace among family members — making sure no one felt abandoned or left behind. It was as though I could anticipate what people needed before they even said anything. I wore this skill as a badge of honor even though internally; I was resentful and quietly falling apart. Eventually the weight of the overwhelm and the thought of one more 'yes' made it so that I had to start saying 'no' — and there is power in that!

Engaging in my own therapy has been life-changing in some difficult, and mostly positive, ways. I’ve grown to understand my own needs and how to set boundaries with them in mind (this is absolutely an ongoing process!) I started to learn that being dependable doesn’t mean being endlessly available; that our worth is not measured by how much we shoulder for others. It was terrifying at first to turn my focus inward — to allow for and name my own needs, set limits, and to let go of the roles that I had outgrown. But it has made me a more effective therapist and a more grounded human being.

From my own experiences, I know what it’s like to feel unseen in your life. I also know how powerful it is to reclaim yourself and live as you are, authentically. My work is about creating space for you where you no longer have to hold it all together. A space where your needs, pain, messiness, darkness; your truth, joy, peace, and power; your WHOLE self is welcome and celebrated.

I work with folks around grief, loss, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship dynamics, providing grief counseling and individual therapy, though I’m always exploring beyond these boundaries! I am an end-of-life doula, and I am EMDR-trained and actively using EMDR therapy with clients. The road to and through therapy can be many things, including bumpy; no matter the terrain, I look forward to navigating with you!
